Adhesives used in the construction industry are mineral or dispersion based mortars with a high adhesive strength for bonding tiles, autoclaved lightweight concrete (ALC) blocks, natural stone and other flooring, walling and ceiling materials. They differ from masonry mortars on account of their higher adhesive strength and fineness. The various categories are:
