EIFS adhesives

Exterior insulation finishing systems (EIFS) are thermal insulation systems for outside walls. They consist of an adhesive to which a thermal insulation element is bonded. This is coated with a reinforced mortar (basecoat mortar) in which a reinforcement mesh is embedded. The sandwich-type system is finally covered with decorative render.

Many different grades of methyl cellulose have given good results in EIFS adhesives, for example WalocelŪ MKX 25000 PF 25 L.

EIFS consisting of: basic wall structure, adhesive, insulation panel, reinforced mortar / reinforcement mesh and decorative render.
